NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is reaching out to the public for help in locating a man connected to two separate incidents of forcible touching that occurred on March 26 within the 10th Precinct’s jurisdiction.
The first reported incident took place at around 9:54 AM near 9th Avenue and West 16th Street. A 34-year-old woman was walking when an unidentified man approached her from behind and inappropriately touched her private area before fleeing westbound.
Shortly after that, at approximately 10:00 AM, a similar incident occurred near West 18th Street and 10th Avenue. A 52-year-old woman was touched on the buttocks by a man who then escaped on foot westbound on West 18th Street. Fortunately, neither victim sustained injuries from these encounters.
The suspect is described as a male, about 6 feet tall with a dark complexion and slim build. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a blue Carhartt hooded jacket. The NYPD urges anyone with information about these incidents or the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward.
