Murder-Suicide Discovered in Pennsylvania Mobile Home Park

Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg responded to a call regarding “shots fired” in a mobile home park, leading them to discover an apparent murder-suicide.

According to a press release issued on Thursday, the incident occurred in Lenwood Park, Southampton Township, Shippensburg, on Wednesday evening, April 24. Trooper Megan Frazer revealed that the situation involved a domestic altercation where shots were discharged around 7:25 p.m., prompting authorities to take action.

Troopers from PSP Chambersburg established a perimeter around the residence but were unable to contact the individuals inside. Subsequently, the Pennsylvania State Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) was enlisted to intervene at the scene. Upon entering the home, SERT uncovered the bodies of a 67-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man, both having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.

The official cause and manner of their deaths remain pending confirmation following an autopsy.
