Deadly Bus Crash Kills One As Driver Loses Control on I-95

BELAIR, MD – A fatal bus accident early today in Harford County is under investigation by Maryland State Police. One person is confirmed dead, and several others injured after a bus carrying 24 passengers crashed into a guardrail on I-95 northbound.

The incident occurred shortly after 6:00 AM when state troopers from the JFK Memorial Highway Barrack were dispatched to the crash site at mile marker 77. The preliminary findings suggest the bus lost control for reasons yet to be determined. The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene, while multiple injured passengers were taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

The crash has resulted in the closure of all northbound lanes of I-95 near the incident area. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Bel Air Barrack, Maryland Transportation Authority Police, and Harford County Sheriff’s Office, are at the scene. The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the detailed investigation.

The MDOT State Highway Administration is assisting at the site, and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes during the ongoing investigation. As of now, no charges have been filed related to the crash.
