LAUREL, MD – A series of armed robberies occurred this morning at multiple 7-Eleven locations in Prince George’s County, involving a group of suspects armed with fire department extrication tools known as the “jaws of life.” The criminals began their spree in Laurel, moving through Adelphi and Fort Washington, and targeted two additional stores in southern Prince George’s County.
The suspects have used these tools to forcibly open ATMs and steal the contents. Additionally, they have repeatedly destroyed security camera footage and, in one incident, held a clerk at gunpoint.
The suspects and their getaway vehicle match the descriptions from a similar series of crimes in January, which led to an arrest.
This marks the eighth such incident since the weekend.
