Brooklyn deli sells $50K Powerball ticket in weekend drawing
Brooklyn, NY – A lucky Powerball player is holding a ticket worth $50,000 after purchasing it from a neighborhood deli in Williamsburg ahead of Saturday night’s drawing.
The winning third-prize ticket was sold at Farmer Deli, located at 723 Grand Street in Brooklyn. It matched four of the five white balls plus the red Power Ball in the October 20 drawing, earning the player a $50,000 payout.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., with numbers drawn from two separate fields: one from 1 to 69 for the white balls and one from 1 to 26 for the red Power Ball.
This marks another win for New York’s long-running lottery system, which remains the most profitable in North America. The New York Lottery contributed $3.6 billion to state public schools during the 2024–2025 fiscal year.
