Cherry Hill, NJ – Hollywood actor Gary Busey is facing sexual offense charges stemming from incidents occurring at the annual Monster Mania Convention hosted at the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill.

This is an update from our previous report published by the Cherry Hill Police Department: California Man Facing Multiple Charges After Monster Mania Convention.

Busey has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct, one count of criminal contempt and one count of harassment.

During the weekend of the event, August 12th-14th, 2022, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Doubletree Hotel, 2349 West Route 70, for the report of a sex offense.

On August 19th, 2022 as a result of the investigation, Cherry Hill Police Detectives charged Gary Busey, 78, of Malibu California, with the following offenses:

A law firm representing Monster Mania said, “Our client, Monster-Mania LLC, is assisting authorities in their investigation into an alleged incident involving attendees and a celebrity guest at its convention in Cherry Hill, New Jersey last weekend. Immediately upon receiving a complaint from the attendee, the celebrity guest was removed from the convention and instructed not to return. Monster-Mania also encouraged the attendees to contact the police to file a report.”

Police did not detail the crimes allegedly committed by Busey.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing and anyone with additional information is urged to contact Detective Robert Daniello of the Cherry Hill Police Department at (856) 432-8834.
