ALEXANDRIA, VA – Members of the Alexandria Police Department’s Technical Services Section spent part of this week volunteering at the Alexandria Community Shelter, continuing the department’s tradition of service beyond law enforcement duties.

The volunteer group included sworn officers and professional staff, such as records clerks and the department’s IT supervisor.

Officials said the effort highlights APD’s ongoing commitment to strengthening community ties and supporting local residents in need.
