Allentown Man Charged for Brandishing Handgun, Resisting Arrest

ALLENTOWN, PA – An Allentown man has been arrested and charged by police after he brandished a handgun in front of multiple victims Saturday morning. According to police at around 6:30 a.m. officers arrived at the 600 block of North Grant Street.

According to police, officers spoke to Witnesses who advised that a male acquaintance had threatened them and brandished a handgun. The witnesses provided the police with a description of the suspect.

Officers located the male suspect nearby and he immediately fled once noticing the officer is moving in. After a brief foot chase, the suspect was apprehended but not without struggling with arresting officers. During the struggle, the man attempted to pull a handgun from his jacket pocket which was denied by police.

Michael Tran, 29 of Allentown was arrested by police.
