LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — A southern Anne Arundel County resident turned a routine family visit to St. Mary’s County into a $50,000 payday after picking up a THE GAME OF LIFE scratch-off, Maryland Lottery officials confirmed Tuesday.

The player bought the $20 ticket at Hermanville Sunoco on Three Notch Road while in Lexington Park for a family commitment. She scratched off the second-tier prize, adding to her previous personal best Lottery win of $3,500.

Though thrilled, she told Lottery staff she plans to bank the winnings for the future.

The $20 THE GAME OF LIFE ticket launched in October 2022 with a top prize of $1 million. As of this week, three top prizes and four of the original six $50,000 second-tier prizes remain unclaimed.
