Argument turns violent in DC as man stabbed, suspect quickly apprehended

WASHINGTON, DC — Police have arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with a stabbing that took place early Sunday morning in Northwest Washington, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Around 1:00 a.m. on November 10, 2024, officers were flagged down in the 1800 block of 7th Street NW by a man who reported he had been stabbed following an argument with the suspect. The victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

A short time later, officers located and apprehended the suspect, identified as Maurice Felder, 53, who has no fixed address. Felder was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).

Police have not provided further details on the nature of the argument that led to the stabbing. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with additional information to contact the Metropolitan Police Department.
