Armed duo on moped robs man of $1,000 in Queens broad daylight hold-up

A midday armed robbery in Queens ended with $1,000 stolen and two suspects on the run.

NEW YORK — A man was robbed at gunpoint Friday afternoon while sitting inside his parked car in Queens, police said.

The incident occurred around 4:25 p.m. near 104th Street and 38th Avenue, when two unidentified males on a moped approached the 27-year-old victim’s vehicle. According to police, one of the suspects got off the moped, entered the vehicle through the front passenger door, displayed a firearm, and demanded cash.

The suspect forcibly took $1,000 from the victim before fleeing with the second individual on the moped, heading north on 104th Street toward 37th Avenue. No injuries were reported.

The first suspect was last seen wearing a black balaclava, a brown hooded sweater, black pants, and gray sneakers.

The second suspect was described as wearing a black baseball cap, black balaclava, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and blue sneakers.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
