Armed robbers target two pedestrians in Greenbelt holdup

GREENBELT, MD – Two pedestrians were robbed at gunpoint Thursday night in the 5800 block of Cherrywood Terrace, prompting a search for two armed suspects who fled the scene, police said.

According to the Greenbelt Police Department, the victims were walking together around 8:50 p.m. when they were approached by two men who brandished a firearm and demanded their belongings. The suspects, both described as Black males in their early 20s, escaped before officers arrived.

The first suspect was wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants, while the second was last seen in a black puffer jacket, black pants, and carrying a red bookbag. Despite the confrontation, no injuries were reported.
