GLEN BURNIE, MD – Police have made an arrest in connection with an August shooting that injured a man during a memorial service in Glen Burnie, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on August 18 in the unit block of Brooks Terrace Road.
Officers responding to the scene found an adult male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
He was transported by Fire Department personnel to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland for treatment.
Fight broke out before shots were fired
Investigators said the shooting happened during a memorial service for the recently deceased homeowner. A dispute reportedly escalated into a physical altercation, during which the suspect opened fire before fleeing the area on foot.
Northern District detectives took over the investigation and have since identified and arrested the suspect, though the department has not yet released the individual’s name.
