Arrest Made in Blades Shooting Incident: Harold Dixon Charged

Delaware State Police arrested 25-year-old Harold Dixon of Blades, Delaware, following a shooting incident in Blades on Sunday morning. On Sunday, at about 8:21 a.m., troopers responded to reports of shots fired at a residence on East Fifth Street in Blades. Upon arrival, it was discovered that gunshots had been fired, and a black car was observed speeding away from the scene.

Through the investigation, Dixon, who had been engaged in an argument with a woman, was identified as the suspect. Subsequently, he was found to have fired multiple shots into the ground outside the house, with a child present inside during the incident, although no injuries were reported.

After his apprehension, Dixon was taken to Troop 5 and charged with several offenses. These charges included Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of a Violent Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (two counts), Aggravated Menacing, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Following the arraignment proceedings at Justice of the Peace Court 3, Dixon was remanded to Sussex Correctional Institution after failing to post a $107,000 cash bond.
