Baltimore lottery player wins $50,000 in Maryland Holiday Raffle early bird drawing
BALTIMORE, MD – One lucky ticket holder in Baltimore is now $50,000 richer after winning the second early bird prize in the Maryland Lottery’s Holiday Raffle, as the popular seasonal game moves closer to its $1 million grand prize drawing.
The winning ticket, number 029641, was sold on November 10 at Moravia Shell, located at 5920 Moravia Road in Baltimore City. It was drawn on Monday from among 136,039 eligible tickets sold by that point. The winner has 182 days to claim the $50,000 prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters.
This early bird win is just one of three special drawings leading up to the Holiday Raffle’s grand finale. Although today’s winner and the previous early bird winner from November 24 are not eligible for the final early bird prize on December 22, both remain in the running for the final drawing on January 2, which includes the top $1 million prize.
The Holiday Raffle, launched on November 3, will cap sales at 325,000 tickets. Tickets are $20 each and are available at all Maryland Lottery retailers. Players don’t choose numbers; each ticket is printed with a unique, sequential number in the order it’s sold.
In the final drawing, the Maryland Lottery will award:
- One grand prize of $1 million
- Ten second-tier prizes of $100,000 each
- 10,000 additional prizes ranging from $50 to $500
