BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore police have arrested 20-year-old Davonte Hamlett in connection with a homicide that occurred in the Northern District on May 5th.
Investigators determined that Hamlett fatally shot 25-year-old Sherman Anderson and injured a 26-year-old man in the 3300 block of Reisterstown Road. Officers responding to the scene at approximately 12:24 a.m. found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Anderson later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives identified Hamlett as the shooter during their investigation and secured an arrest warrant on June 6, 2024. Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested Hamlett on August 6th, and he was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder.
