Baltimore woman wins $60K Racetrax prize with family-inspired numbers
BALTIMORE, MD – A Baltimore City woman used a set of special numbers tied to a late family member to win a $60,272 Racetrax prize, marking her second major win with the Maryland Lottery’s virtual horse racing game.
On November 2, she placed a $1 Superfecta bet on horses 7, 11, 5, and 6 to finish in that exact order. The ticket was purchased at Snacks and Keno, located at 6408 Reisterstown Road in Baltimore. All four horses crossed the finish line in sequence, awarding her the full payout.
The woman said the numbers were first chosen when a family member became ill. She continued playing them consistently after his passing, attributing the decision to stay with those selections to his memory. The win came after she hesitated at the machine but ultimately followed through on playing the numbers.
She and her husband later checked the results from home and confirmed the win using the Racetrax prize chart. The couple plans to use the winnings to pay off debt and share some of the prize.
This marks the second time the player has won big with Racetrax. In 2024, she collected $30,070 on a separate ticket.
Snacks and Keno will receive a $602.72 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
