Bethesda Attempted Carjacking Caught On Camera

BETHESDA, MD – The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating an attempted armed carjacking that took place late Sunday night at the 7300 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda. Detectives have released dash camera footage of the male suspects and are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying them.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:53 p.m. An adult male victim reported that after parking his gray 2022 Porsche 911, a maroon Nissan Rogue pulled up beside him. Three suspects exited the Nissan while a fourth armed suspect remained seated in the front passenger seat.

One suspect, described as a Black Hispanic male, pointed a handgun at the victim, demanded his car keys, and struck him in the head with the weapon. After the victim complied, one of the suspects attempted to drive the Porsche but failed due to its manual transmission. The suspects then fled the scene in the Nissan.
