WASHINGTON, DC – A shocking revelation confirmed what was previously considered a conspiracy theory by media fact-checkers and social media leftists.
The Biden administration was pressuring Facebook to censor Americans for exercising their right to free speech if that speech went against the beliefs of the White House.
According to documents reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation, Robert Flaherty, the Former Biden Director of Digital Strategy, informed Facebook in a meeting held in June 2021 that their administration’s main focus regarding speech it did not agree with was to suppress content. The White House regularly met with Facebook to discuss content moderation but often disagreed on the approach.
During the meeting, it was revealed that the Biden administration preferred to censor information, while Facebook wanted to combat misinformation with more information.
Flaherty pointed out that the administration was more inclined towards reducing the spread of bad information on platforms rather than merely informing the users.
The House Judiciary Committee obtained these memos as part of an investigation into the Biden administration’s efforts related to social media censorship.
Internal emails revealed that the Biden administration successfully pressured Facebook to suppress content speculating that COVID-19 was man-made, a move that a Facebook vice president responsible for content policy later expressed regret about, acknowledging external pressure to take such actions.
