Big Apple Supermarket sells $150K winning ticket to lucky Youngstown player

Youngstown, OH — A Mahoning County resident claimed a $150,000 top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s $5 scratch-off game, $50,000 Cash Plus, officials confirmed Wednesday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Big Apple Supermarket, located at 2617 Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown. After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings, the winner will receive approximately $108,000.

For selling the winning ticket, Big Apple Supermarket will receive a $1,500 sales bonus from the Ohio Lottery.

There are currently three top prizes remaining on $50,000 Cash Plus, along with other prizes. The game carries overall winning odds of 1 in 4.21.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to public education programs across the state.
