Bolivar Man Attacking, Attempted Kidnapping of 18-Year-Old Woman

GREENSBURG, PA – Frank Springer, a 56-year-old resident of Bolivar, has been found guilty of attempted homicide, attempted kidnapping, unlawful restraint, two counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault, and terroristic threats.

The verdict came on Wednesday, following a four-hour jury deliberation.

The charges were filed in January, after Springer attempted to abduct an 18-year-old jogger in Ligonier Borough, using physical force and a firearm.

The victim successfully fought off her attacker until a passing couple intervened. Springer will be sentenced in the next 90 days.
