BOSTON, Mass. — A Boston man has been arrested in connection with a shots fired incident that occurred last month in Dorchester, according to an update from the Boston Police Department. Officers arrested Marvin Chery, 27, on Friday evening following a traffic stop in the area of 244 Almost Street.

Chery was taken into custody around 7:58 p.m. by officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan). He was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by Dorchester District Court for multiple charges, including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (second offense), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Attempted Assault and Battery with a Firearm, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Building, and Destruction of Property.

The charges stem from an incident on September 27, when officers responded to a report of gunshots near 468 Harvard Street at approximately 11:16 a.m. Police found ballistic evidence at the scene but reported no injuries.

Chery is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court. The investigation into the September incident is ongoing.
