Boston Police Arrest Two Juveniles After Armed Robbery Incident

Boston, MA — Two juveniles, aged 13 and 14, were arrested by the Boston Police Department’s Youth Violence Strike Force following an armed robbery incident in South Boston. The arrests occurred on Friday, July 12, 2024, at approximately 7:29 PM.

Responding to a report of a person with a gun on Allstate Road, officers observed a male juvenile pushing a female against a wall, wielding what appeared to be a plastic gun. After the male fled the scene, police intervened and apprehended him. It was discovered that the suspect had handed off a stolen cellphone to another juvenile in the vicinity, who was also subsequently detained.

Upon further investigation, the stolen cellphone was found hidden in nearby bushes, and the toy gun used in the robbery was seized as evidence. Charges against the 14-year-old include Delinquent to wit; Armed Robbery. The 13-year-old faces charges of Delinquent to wit; Robbery Armed and Masked, and Delinquent to wit; Assault and Battery.

Both juveniles are expected to be arraigned at Boston Juvenile Court.
