Brick Township swears in two new special law enforcement officers

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Police Department has added two new Special Law Enforcement Officers to its ranks following a swearing-in ceremony held earlier this week.

Chief David Forrester and Mayor Lisa Crate formally welcomed Officers Dashamir Spahiu and Joshua Schwartz during the ceremony.

Special Law Enforcement Officers, or SLEOs, assist the department with a variety of tasks including parking enforcement, prisoner processing, event security, and traffic control.

Their roles are designed to support the department’s full-time officers and contribute to the smooth operation of public events and daily law enforcement functions.

The addition of Spahiu and Schwartz aims to further strengthen community policing efforts in Brick Township.
