Bronx man charged with murder of woman in Kingsbridge Road stabbing

BRONX, N.Y. – A 28-year-old Bronx man has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman early Sunday morning on East Kingsbridge Road.

Police identified the suspect as Cristian Moya.

He faces charges of murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Early morning stabbing turns deadly

Officers from the 52nd Precinct responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress around 4:10 a.m. on October 26. Upon arrival, police learned that the victim, later identified as Pamela Almonte Cabrera, had been stabbed multiple times in the chest.

She was transported by private vehicle to BronxCare Health Systems before being transferred to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was pronounced dead.

Suspect arrested two days later

Following an intensive investigation, detectives took Moya into custody on Tuesday evening. He was arrested at approximately 7:30 p.m. within the 52nd Precinct. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the motive or the events leading up to the attack.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue gathering evidence in the case.
