Bronx Powerball ticket nets $150K win with Powerplay boost

Bronx, NY – A lucky Powerball player in the Bronx scored a $150,000 payday after matching key numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing and selecting the Powerplay option, lottery officials confirmed.

The winning ticket was sold at GNP SUNIL, located at 585 West 235th Street. It matched four of the five white balls and the red Power Ball, landing a third-prize win that was tripled from $50,000 to $150,000 thanks to the Powerplay multiplier.

The Powerball numbers for the January 24 drawing were pulled from a pool of 69 white balls and 26 red Power Balls. The Powerplay option, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times, gives players the chance to significantly increase their winnings.
