Teens robbed in Central Park after being shoved to the ground by unknown attacker

Manhattan, NY – A teenage boy and girl were violently attacked and robbed inside Central Park over the weekend after an unidentified man approached them from behind, shoved them to the ground, and stole personal items before fleeing, police said.

The incident happened around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, near an undisclosed location inside the park. According to investigators, the 18-year-old male and 17-year-old female were walking together when the suspect came up from behind and forcefully pushed both victims to the ground.

While they were down, the suspect went through the male victim’s pockets and took his wallet and cellphone, then fled on foot out of the park toward an unknown location.
