Bronx teen vanishes after leaving her home Sunday night

BRONX, NY – Police are searching for a 14-year-old girl who disappeared after she was last seen leaving her Bronx residence Sunday evening.

Jameyah Rowe was reported missing from her home at 1420 Bronx River Avenue around 7 p.m., officials said.

The teen was last seen wearing gray jeans, a beige shirt, and white sneakers when she went missing.

Rowe is described as Black, about 5 feet 3 inches tall, 140 pounds, with a thin build, brown eyes, and black hair.

Family and police searching for clues

Family members reported Rowe missing after she failed to return home later that night, prompting a search by the NYPD’s 43rd Precinct. Detectives have been canvassing the area and reviewing security footage in hopes of tracing her last known movements.

Authorities have distributed a missing person alert across the borough and are urging anyone who may have seen Rowe to come forward.

Public urged to assist in search

Community members in the Soundview neighborhood have been asked to check surveillance cameras and contact police with any information that could help locate the teen.
