WHARTON, NJ – Antony S. Rodriguez-Santana, 30, of Camden, New Jersey, pleaded guilty to unlawfully selling firearms, including possession of an assault firearm by a convicted felon.

Rodriguez-Santana was arrested on August 23, 2021, facing multiple charges such as unlawful possession of an assault firearm, certain persons not to possess weapons, and unlawful sale of a defaced firearm. The sales included a Smith & Wesson MP .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle and a defaced Raven Arms model P25 .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol. The sales took place on June 26, 2020, and September 18, 2020, in Wharton.

On September 12, 2023, Rodriguez-Santana entered his guilty plea before the Honorable Ralph E. Amirata, J.S.C. The State will recommend a sentence of ten years in New Jersey State Prison with a five-year parole disqualifier. Rodriguez-Santana admitted to possessing an assault firearm after previously being convicted of aggravated assault.

Rodriguez-Santana remains in custody at the Morris County Correctional Facility, awaiting sentencing scheduled for October 13, 2023. The State’s case is represented by Assistant Prosecutor Noelle V. Fiorentino.
