Car Thieves Injure Two Officers During Chase on I-95

NEW ROCHELLE, NY- New Rochelle Police Officers observed a Toyota Highlander driving on the southwest side of the city early Thursday morning. When officers tried to stop the car, the suspects attempted to flee on I-95 northbound.

Police vehicles were able to follow the vehicle, which exited off of I-95 northbound and then immediately merged onto I-95 south.

While traveling southbound, the vehicle ran into stopped traffic where police were able to surround the vehicle.

“When Detectives pulled behind the suspect vehicle in an unmarked police car and attempted to pull the vehicle over, the suspects put their vehicle in reverse and rammed the police car, injuring the two officers inside,” investigators said.

The suspects were then able to arrest the four suspects that were in the car.
