Manhattan, NY – An individual entered a Lafayette Street store Monday, Oct. 20 and attempted to buy merchandise with a credit card before the transaction was declined.
The individual then manually entered prompts into the payment terminal without the employee’s knowledge.
The individual left the store with about $9,710 worth of baseball and Pokémon cards.

The sought individual was described as a male with a medium complexion.
He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, white socks, white sneakers, and carrying a multicolored bag.
The incident occurred inside a commercial establishment at 244 Lafayette Street shortly before midday.
The manual prompts entered into the terminal were used after the initial payment attempt was declined.
