The retired government employee purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket for the June 25 drawing at Lady’s Liquors, located at 6474 Crain Highway in La Plata. She realized her good fortune after scanning the ticket and quickly shared the news with her husband and sons.

While claiming her prize on June 27 at Lottery headquarters, she said she planned to put the winnings toward home improvements.

Lady’s Liquors has a history of big winners, including selling a share of a $414 million Mega Millions jackpot in 2014.
