Cash 5 ticket worth $200K sold in Chester County during Monday’s drawing
MIDDLETOWN, PA — One lucky Pennsylvania Lottery player is starting December with a six-figure win after matching all five numbers in the Cash 5 with Quick Cash drawing on Monday night to take home a $200,000 jackpot.
The winning numbers drawn on December 1 were 1-8-10-15-24. The jackpot-winning ticket was sold at Valley Forge Freedom, located at 1870 Valley Forge Road in Schuylkill Township, Chester County. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the ticket.
The identity of the winner remains unknown until the prize is officially claimed and the ticket is validated. The Pennsylvania Lottery reminds players that all Cash 5 prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date, while any Quick Cash prizes must be claimed within one year of purchase.
In addition to the jackpot win, more than 10,000 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets won prizes in Monday’s drawing. Players are urged to check their tickets carefully and redeem any lower-tier prizes at an authorized Lottery retailer.
The Lottery also used the announcement to promote its participation in the National Council on Problem Gambling’s “Gift Responsibly” campaign. The initiative aims to raise awareness that Lottery tickets are not suitable gifts for children and to encourage responsible play during the holiday season.
