The State of New Jersey let residents know today that the dunes at Island Beach State Park survived yesterday’s windy onslaught thanks to thousands of donations of Christmas trees over the year, but the park remains closed, despite its ability to allow New Jerseyeans active recreation with a vast ability to practice social distancing.
“We had very strong winds yesterday here @ IBSP. However, our Christmas trees are doing there job very well,” park employees, who are still working despite the closure said. “Please wash your hands and practice social distancing.”
