Gunman robs Claymont pharmacy at gunpoint before fleeing with cash and customer’s belongings
Claymont, DE – A masked gunman held up a Claymont pharmacy Wednesday morning, demanding cash from the register and a customer’s belongings before fleeing the store with an undisclosed amount of property, according to Delaware State Police.
The armed robbery occurred around 9:50 a.m. at Darley Pharmacy, located at 111 Darley Road. Troopers say an unidentified white male suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and ordered the employee to hand over money from the register. The worker complied without resistance.
During the robbery, the suspect also turned his attention to a customer inside the pharmacy and demanded their personal belongings. The customer complied, and no injuries were reported.
The suspect fled the scene before troopers arrived. Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit is actively investigating the incident and has not released additional suspect information.
