MADERA COUNTY, Calif. — The Madera County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 21-year-old Clovis man in connection with the murder of Robert “Bob” Boyajian, a well-known and respected real estate professional in the Bass Lake community.

Sheriff Tyson Pogue announced the arrest of Audrik Matevosian on Monday, following a welfare check request for Boyajian on July 14. The investigation uncovered evidence suggesting premeditation, including the online purchase of a body bag and the rental of a vehicle prior to the crime.

Boyajian, 75, had been missing since earlier this month. Authorities confirmed his death and identified Matevosian as the suspect after rapidly piecing together evidence from multiple sources.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to Bob’s friends and family,” officials said in a public statement. “Also, a big thank you to our Sheriff’s department for their quick and tireless investigative work to deliver justice.”

The motive for the killing and other case details have not yet been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
