Border Security and Immigration
The interview also covered Harris’s stance on immigration, a topic that has been a consistent part of her portfolio. When asked about those who cross the border unlawfully, Harris was firm in her response. “I believe there should be consequences. We have laws that have to be followed and enforced that address and deal with people who cross our border illegally,” she said, drawing on her experience as California’s Attorney General.
Harris didn’t miss the opportunity to criticize former President Donald Trump, accusing him of pushing Republicans to kill a bipartisan border security bill. “My value around what we need to do to secure our border — that value has not changed,” Harris insisted.
