Couple Convicted for Threats and Assault in Dunnstable Township

LOCK HAVEN, PA – A Clinton County jury returned guilty verdicts on Monday, against a Dunnstable Township couple for threats and simple assault against a 19-year-old female. William Sean Laubscher, 54, and Candy Jo Laubscher, 48, both of Reeder Road, Lock Haven, were convicted on Friday, at the Clinton County Courthouse.

Both were found guilty of Terroristic Threats (M1) and Simple Assault (M2). Additionally, Candy was convicted of Firearms Not to be Carried Without a License (M1). The case was prosecuted by Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse before Judge Michael F. Salisbury.

The incident happened on Thursday, September 1, 2022, when the Laubschers attempted to evict their tenants from a rental property on German Road, Dunnstable Township, while armed. The victim called 911, and Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to the scene, supported by Lock Haven City Police and Clinton County Sheriff Deputies.
