Crash on Route 130 in Robbinsville knocks out power, under investigation

ROBBINSVILLE, N.J. – Police are investigating a serious crash that damaged a utility pole and caused a power outage Friday afternoon along Route 130 southbound near the Trails End Motel and Church Street.

According to the Robbinsville Township Police Department, emergency crews responded to the scene and temporarily closed lanes as they worked to investigate the crash and clear debris. The collision brought down a pole, disrupting electricity to nearby homes and businesses.

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) crews have been notified and are on site making repairs to restore service as quickly as possible. Police are urging drivers to use caution and expect delays in the area while the investigation continues.

Officers say full restoration of power and traffic flow will follow once the roadway is deemed safe.
