BURLINGTON, NJ – A crossing guard was injured Wednesday morning after a motor vehicle accident near Route 130 and Jacksonville Road brought traffic to a standstill across a busy stretch of the city.
Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, where the crossing guard suffered what officials described as minor injuries.
The City of Burlington Police Department said the investigation into the crash remains active as officers work to determine what led to the collision.
Authorities closed East Federal Street between Route 130 North and Route 130 South as the scene was cleared, urging motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Traffic along the corridor was diverted for several hours, with officers redirecting vehicles away from the crash site. Crews remained on location to manage congestion while investigators documented the scene.
