Cumberland Man Arrested for Violating Court Protection Order

CUMBERLAND, MD – On Wednesday, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a reported breaking and entering in progress in the 300 block of Pear Street. The victim informed officers that they had a protective order against Michael Francis Meredith Jr and that he was not allowed to contact the victim or be at their residence.

Meredith, 41, was arrested and charged with violation of an out-of-state order. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner and held on a $1,000 bond.
