D.C. Armed Robber Caught On Surveillance Camera

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A store in Northwest Washington, D.C., was the target of an armed robbery, prompting a search for the suspect by the D.C. Metro Police Department. The crime occurred in the 800 Block of 7th Street.

The incident took place on Friday night at about 9:15 pm. According to reports, the suspect approached a store employee, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. The employee, under duress, complied with the demand. Following this, the suspect quickly left the area.

Surveillance cameras at the scene captured the suspect’s image. The police have released this video footage, seeking assistance from the public in identifying the perpetrator.

Individuals who may have information about the suspect or the incident are advised not to approach the suspect but to immediately contact the police at (202) 727-9099. Tips can also be sent anonymously via text to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
