WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating an incident involving a machete that took place in the early morning hours on Saturday. Police have made an arrest. This altercation happened on the 1300 Block of 7^th Street in Northwest D.C.

According to investigators, “At approximately 2:20 am, the victim and the suspect were involved in an altercation at the listed location. During the altercation the suspect brandished a machete and cut the victim. The suspect fled the scene. The victim was treated on the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.”

40 year-old Ngozi Johnson, of Northwest, D.C. was arrested on June 18th and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. This case remains under investigation.
