D.C. Robbery Suspect Attacks Victim with Pipe After Asking for Cigarette

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Authorities are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect who allegedly attacked a victim with a metal pipe before committing a robbery in Northwest D.C. The incident occurred on July 31 in the 800 block of G Street.

According to the D.C. Metro Police Department, the suspect approached the victim at approximately 2:45 a.m., asking for a cigarette and money. When the victim attempted to walk away, the suspect allegedly assaulted them with a metal pipe and subsequently stole from the victim before fleeing the scene.

The victim received treatment for injuries from DC Fire and EMS. Surveillance footage shows the suspect wearing jeans, sneakers, and a Kentucky bourbon t-shirt.
