D.C. Stabbing Suspect Arrested

WASHINGTON, DC — A recent altercation in Southeast D.C. led to a stabbing and subsequent arrest, as announced by the D.C. Metro Police Department’s First District.

The incident happened on Sunday evening, around 6:10 p.m., on the 1400 block of L Street, Southeast. An argument between the suspect and the victim escalated, resulting in the suspect wielding a knife and stabbing the victim. Fortunately, the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical care at a local hospital. Authorities quickly intervened, leading to the suspect’s arrest at the scene.

Gregory Lewis, 56, with no fixed address, has been taken into custody and faces charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife). It has been noted that the victim and the suspect were acquainted prior to the incident.
