FREDERICK, MD – During the recent D-Squad roll call, Officers Garrett Hall and Joshua Thompson were commended for their exceptional response under pressure, which saved two lives.
Officer Hall responded to a local swimming pool, where a 5-year-old child was drowning.
He performed chest compressions until EMS arrived, leading to the child’s recovery.
Officer Thompson attended a suicide attempt scene, where he found a woman attempting to hang herself.
He intervened, cutting the rope and rendering aid, which resulted in the victim’s full recovery.
