Man sought after armed carjacking in Northeast DC early Thursday

Washington, DC – Police are investigating an early morning carjacking that occurred Thursday in the 1100 block of Trinidad Avenue NE, where a suspect reportedly stole a silver Volkswagen sedan and fled the scene.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened around 3:29 a.m. on January 2. The suspect is described as a heavy-set Black male with a beard, wearing all black clothing.

The man was last seen driving away in the stolen silver VW. Police have not stated whether a weapon was used or if anyone was injured during the incident.

No arrests have been made, and additional details have not been released at this time.
