Lakewood, NJ – The body of a man has been found inside the trunk of a car in Lakewood Township.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office is leading an investigation into the death of a man found in the trunk of a vehicle in Lakewood Township. On February 28, at 12:13 p.m., Lakewood Township Police were alerted to an unconscious male inside a car parked on Fairview Court.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a deceased male in the vehicle’s trunk. The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Lakewood Township Police Department, Manchester Township Police Department, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.
The identity of the victim was not released at this time.
