Deadly Shooting Under Investigation at Brooklyn Gas Station

BROOKLYN, NY – A 33-year-old man was fatally shot during an attempted robbery early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred just after 4 a.m. outside a BP station on Myrtle Avenue near Grove Street in Bushwick.

The victim, whose identity has not been publicly disclosed, was shot in the head and later pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital Center.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the shooting was the result of an attempted robbery.

Four men and one woman fled the scene after the shooting. Two .38 caliber shell casings were recovered. This incident was one of two fatal shootings in the city during the same night.
