Dealer charged for bad heroin that killed woman

FORT WALTON BEACH, FL – An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office investigation into the drug overdose death of a Fort Walton Beach woman has led to the arrest of the suspect who supplied the illegal narcotics. 36-year old Jacqueline Ennis of Fort Walton Beach was taken into custody today, charged with homicide which resulted from the unlawful distribution of fentanyl.

The OCSO investigation determined the 28-year old victim bought $100 worth of heroin from Ennis during a drug deal at a convenience store parking lot off James Lee Road on February 14th of this year. The victim went back to her home and used the narcotics in her bathroom before being found unresponsive about thirty minutes later. An autopsy listed the cause of death as “Acute Polysubstance Intoxication (heroin, methadone, and fentanyl).
